Kokomo
Cuvée, Cabernet Blend, North Coast, 2020. 91 pts James Suckling. This Cuvée is a focused blend that is inspired by the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape but with a Dry Creek twist. The dark and lush cherry notes on the nose and palate are characteristic of Dry Creek Valley Grenache. The Mourvèdre contributes hints of blueberry pie while the Zinfandel and field blend varieties round out the palette with some earth and spice. It has a medium body and fully integrated tannins which contribute to a plush and polished mouthfeel and a lingering silky finish. Varietal: 45% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 17% Zinfandel, 9% Petite Sirah, 9% Syrah Appellation: North Coast Harvest: September-October 2021 Fermentation: Tank/Open-top fermenters Barrel Aging: 11 months, 20% new oak Alcohol: 14.7%
